This enables the sprocket to move independently within the inside hub area. This allows infinite adjustment of the cam timing when degreeing in an aftermarket cam, or other cam work that alters timing. Thu, 30 Jun 2011Claire takes the BMW 1M Coupe up the Goodwood hillclimb Although the Goodwood Festival of Speed doesn’t actually start until tomorrow, today saw the second year of the Goodwood Moving Motor Show kicking off a long weekend of petrolhead joy. The USP of the Goodwood MMS is the opportunity – for a lucky few – to take an interesting bit of kit up the Goodwood hillclimb. This year Claire had drawn the tickets for the day; tickets Volvo had kindly sent us (many thanks, guys) after they asked us to drive the hillclimb in a Polestar car.

Ok so we don't really believe the Head of Design, BMW Automobiles sits dreamily sketching at a perfect desk with only a delicate espresso for company or that he cruises Munich in a (gorgeous) 2002 tii oldtimer for inspiration, but as an insight into what makes Habib tick, his design philosophy, and how he came to be in such a position, it's a beautifully-shot treat.
